FAQ

How much time will I have to invest?

Most of your work will be done before the start date! 

You’ll receive client homework which will include questionnaires, a mood board, and a list of content you’ll need to get ready before the design date. 
This minimises the time spent back and forth with the design and means you get your new gorgeous site up and running faster! This can take you anywhere between one hour to eight hours - depending on how much content you have already.

During the design process, you can expect to spend 1-2 hours per week providing feedback and lists of edits. 

 

How soon should I book?

If you’ve got all the content you need for your new site ready to go, feel free to book the next available date (I'll let you know available dates after your enquiry).

If you need to take some time out to get your copy and images sorted, add ***at least 4 weeks before your booking.* **

If you’re hiring your own copywriter or photographer, ***put on at least 8 weeks beforehand***. Talk with them first to decide their deadline to plan accordingly.
 

How much will I need to pay upfront?

You'll need to pay 50% of the full price upfront to receive a spot in my calendar. The remaining 50% will be paid before the site goes live + ownership is transferred to you. 

 

Is Squarespace right for me?

Design-wise I love Squarespace for it’s clean layouts, modern aesthetic, and easy-to-use navigation. 

On the more techie side of things - Squarespace has great security in line with Google’s recommendations, does not have the bloat + inconsistent plugins that Wix and Wordpress experience, and has great SEO. 

I always recommend Squarespace for entrepreneurs, small business owners, casual cafe’s and restaurants, bloggers, and creative pros. If you have a very large business with complex online needs (forums, large e-commerce with 100+ items, client portals, etc.) Wordpress or a custom-build is the way to go. 

 

What does Squarespace cost?

For most people, the $22 and $35 monthly plans are perfect, as this also includes hosting. Buying a custom domain can range from $10-30 per year. 

 

What happens after I book?

I'll send you an email to outline how we will start and how you’ll complete your content for the site. I’ll also send you a link to an online contract to sign as a safe-guard for you and I. After signing, the booking’s yours! 

 

 

Payment Conditions

50% due upon booking, with the remaining 50% due before the site goes live.
