About Sasha - the face behind Peachface Design Collective
A little backstory about me and why we should be friends.
I’ve grown up in Ipswich, the almost-capital of Queensland, south-west of the actual-capital city Brisbane, Australia.
I made the most of high school by doodling in the margins of my books, making illustrations out of my math diagrams, and drawing comics with my best friend at lunch.
Determined to transform my doodling into a career, I took the one to one-and-a-half hour train journey each way to Brisbane for three years to get my Bachelor of Design at the Queensland College of Art. With help from the Griffith Honours College, passionate tutors and peers, and an incredible internship program through Liveworm Studio - I fell in love with all things print, web, and typography.
While finishing off my degree I had the chance to do some freelance work for an agency, and the dream of working for myself was born. I currently share a small home studio with my furry companions who always keep me on my toes. I have had the opportunity to work with some wonderful clients such as the Ipswich Art Gallery, Davis and Finch Concept Design, and 88 Limestone Street, as well as developing fonts and design elements for the design community on sites like Creative Market.
I love design that invokes passion, creates curiosity and looks beautiful, and adore working with people that share the same enthusiasm.
